Fourfront Group chose TopBrewer for its new agile workspace to enhance the social experience

Due to substantial business expansion, leading workplace specialists, Fourfront Group has moved its London team into a new 10,500 sq ft office space.

Comprising of four leading brands; Area Sq, 360 Workplace, Sketch Furniture and Cube Interior Solutions – Fourfront Group offers a comprehensive range of innovative, tailor-made solutions to its UK client base.

The brief for the new workspace at Counting House was to facilitate a range of agile working environments that would foster new ways of working, enable productivity and support collaboration, whilst reflecting the needs and values of the brands.

Oliver Hammond, Strategic Accounts Director at Area Sq, led the project. He said:

“Following a comprehensive consultancy process we established that the new workspace required only a nominal amount of anchored desk positions, so instead we created a high number of flexible working and meeting opportunities to embrace freedom of movement. The result is a 95% agile, dynamic workspace that can host up to 160 people in a range of collaborative, concentrative and communicative zones.”


To embrace the company’s unique culture and encourage social interaction, a third of the entire floorplate has been utilised for the dining and breakout area called The Larder. Central to The Larder is a large island unit with an integrated TopBrewerPro coffee machine serving a wide range of premium hot drinks via an iPad.

The TopBrewer was first recommended to Fourfront Group by a client, as Oliver explains:

“As leaders in workspace design we are always keen to align ourselves with cutting-edge products and technology. After seeing the TopBrewer at a client’s premises we were very impressed by the stylish look and quality of the product. It is evident that the TopBrewer is becoming the ‘must-have’ coffee machine for the modern workspace so it was a natural choice for our offices.”

He adds: “From a social aspect, the TopBrewer has encouraged the community feel of the space and has become a discussion point with clients. The introduction of the TopBrewer in The Larder has helped to create a space where people naturally gather to interact, work together, and have fun, which is exactly what we were hoping to achieve in the social areas.”

A second TopBrewer is integrated into the storage wall next to the innovation room to provide a self-sufficient and space-saving refreshment point for staff and client’s.

Oliver comments: “The staff really love the quality of the TopBrewer drinks and we have noticed that people are coming straight to the office for coffee in the morning rather than stopping off at the High Street coffee chains on the way.”
